Mini-Mud Challenge

These photos will be used as inspiration pieces from which challenge participants will create their entry pieces.  MiniMakers will select an inspiration piece from the Mud Team photos, Mudders will select from the MiniMakers photos.  Mudders will work in full scale, MiniMakers in mini scale.  The object of the challenge is to incorporate elements from your inspiration piece into your challenge entry piece, thus creating a complete story or vignette.  For example – A MiniMaker may post an inspiration photo of a mini cake iced in white with red polka-dots.  A Mudder could make a cake stand glazed red with white polka-dots or a dessert plate glazed red with a white rim.

Welcome to the Etsy Mud Team! Ceramic artists unite to bring you "Art from the Earth". Artists working with earth to express their individuality through unique, one-of-a kind art pieces. A wide array of clays are used - porcelain, stoneware and earthenware. All pieces are hand-built or wheel-thrown. Many are quite labor intensive, while others simply appear to be. Firing processes are varied; salt firing, raku, gas reduction and electric kilns are used. Pit and sawdust firing are other methods at our disposal. It is our goal to more effectively promote our art on Etsy by offering unique hand-made pottery; pottery made the old fashioned way - one at a time and with care.
