Like my basket weave and damask mugs, this mug starts off as a slab of clay that is stamped with a highly textured stamp. In this case the stamp looks like newspaper headlines. Then the clay is formed into a cylinder, placed on the potter's wheel and coaxed into this lovely mug shape. This 12 oz mug is donated by Misspottery.
